Ahmad Mir, head of the national committee for monitoring university innovation and entrepreneurship, reported that 3400 innovative projects from Algerian universities have received the 'Labe' accreditation. This initiative has facilitated the creation of 3000 micro-enterprises and the filing of 3000 patents. The success stems from the 2022 ministerial decree 1275, which aims to convert traditional graduation theses into viable economic startups or micro-businesses. By shifting the student mindset toward wealth creation rather than job seeking, the strategy focuses on four key strategic sectors: food, health, environmental, and energy security. These efforts are designed to ensure national self-sufficiency and promote the export of innovative products to African and Mediterranean markets.
