Tehran sets seven conditions for Washington amid Pakistani mediation efforts

Iran has set seven prerequisites for resuming engagement with the United States, coinciding with a diplomatic visit by Pakistan's army chief, Asim Munir, to Tehran. Iranian Parliamentary Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf stated that Washington must build trust by meeting these requirements. Meanwhile, the secretary of the Supreme National Security Council, Mohsen Rezaï, emphasized that Iran will not export its enriched uranium, labeling it a national asset. The conditions include halting military conflicts, particularly in Lebanon, unfreezing Iranian assets, lifting the maritime blockade, ending interference in domestic affairs, and ceasing support for Iranian dissidents and attacks on Iranian soil. Pakistan is currently mediating between the parties as concerns grow over potential military escalations and stalled negotiations.
