Ten Algerian researchers have been featured in the global « Top 1000 Scholars » ranking for geology and geophysics (2021-2025). This achievement highlights the long-standing scientific expertise developed through decades of academic training and professional experience within the country. The list includes scholars from various institutions, such as the universities of Sétif 1, Mascara, USTHB, Ouargla, Tizi Ouzou, Oran 2, and Constantine 1, as well as experts from the CRAAG. This recognition underlines the strength of local competence, which is essential for understanding natural resources and has been a cornerstone of the nation’s success in the hydrocarbon and exploration sectors.
