The presidency announced on Tuesday a partial reshuffle within the country's governorates. The changes include the transfer of Batna governor Riyad Ben Ahmed to Aflou, and Tlemcen governor Youcef Bechlaoui to Batna. Mohamed Meziane moves from El Tarf to Bejaia, while Kamal Nouicer, formerly of Bordj Bou Arreridj, has been appointed to lead Tlemcen. Additionally, new appointments were made: El Harrach delegate governor Abdelwahab Zaini becomes the governor of El Tarf, Bab El Oued delegate governor Redouane Khalifa is assigned to Bordj Bou Arreridj, and Oum El Bouaghi secretary-general Omar Boutaraoui has been named governor of Berriane.
