Algeria has seen a significant shift in its non-oil export sector. Annual clinker exports have risen to nearly 11 million tons, up from 4-5 million previously. In the steel industry, Algeria has transitioned from a 5-billion-dollar importer to an exporter generating between 650 and 700 million dollars. Expert Ali Bey Nasri highlighted that domestic production in food processing, home appliances, and building materials is now yielding surpluses. To facilitate African market penetration, a new Algerian bank was established in Senegal with 100 million dollars in capital. Furthermore, Algeria is engaged in infrastructure projects in Niger, such as a Sonelgaz power plant. Future growth strategies focus on digitizing administrative processes and forming national economic clusters to compete effectively in African infrastructure projects.
