The road network in the wilaya of Tissemsilt is undergoing a major transformation, with over 95% of the supplementary development program, initiated by President Tebboune in late 2022, now completed. Approximately 50 billion dinars (5,000 billion centimes), representing half of the total program budget, have been invested in public works to boost investment and infrastructure. Key projects, such as the 73km dual carriageway of the RN127 connecting El Ayoune to the North-South highway, as well as segments of the RN14 and RN120, are already operational. Efforts continue to extend the dual-lane network to 136 km. Plans are also underway to upgrade several local roads to national routes and complete the technical studies for the RN19 expansion to better link the wilaya to major national transport arteries.
