During a working visit to the United States from October 12 to 16, a Sonatrach delegation led by CEO Rachid Hachichi engaged in talks with executives from ExxonMobil, Halliburton, and Devon Energy. Meetings with ExxonMobil focused on exploration and the development of hydrocarbon potential, building upon the May 2024 memorandum of understanding for the Ahnet and Gourara basins. The delegation also met with Halliburton to discuss digital and technological solutions, as well as local capacity building, reinforcing a partnership renewed in September 2025. Additionally, discussions with Devon Energy centered on identifying new investment opportunities in upstream activities, exploration, and production. Through these interactions, Sonatrach seeks to facilitate technology transfer and ensure the sustainable development of national energy resources.
