Kylian Bezahaf shines in first start for Olympique de Marseille

Young defender Kylian Bezahaf made a strong impression during his first Ligue 1 start as Olympique de Marseille secured a 2-0 victory against Troyes. Filling in for the suspended Timothy Weah, the 20-year-old provided a solid performance in a difficult context for the club. Manager Bruno Genesio praised Bezahaf and teammate Nouhoum Kamissoko for their confidence and spontaneity on the pitch. A product of the Marseille youth academy since 2017, Bezahaf won the Coupe Gambardella in 2024 and signed his first professional contract in the summer of 2026. After previously appearing against Paris Saint-Germain, this start highlights his steady rise and potential within the Marseille squad.
