The education sector in Jijel province has expanded with the opening of two new middle schools in Taasift (Taher municipality) and Mentaya (Sidi Maarouf district). The "Boutour Youssef Ben Messaoud" middle school in Taher has welcomed approximately 300 students, while the "Guitiche Tahar" middle school was officially inaugurated in Mentaya by local authorities and educational officials. These facilities were opened to improve learning conditions and alleviate overcrowding in existing schools. This initiative is part of a regional program aimed at completing and commissioning three new middle schools throughout the month of October.
