Nadir Benbouali hit by new injury setback at Pyramids FC
Algerian forward Ahmed Nadir Benbouali is facing fresh injury struggles following his appearance for Egypt's Pyramids FC against South Sudan's Al-Merrikh Bentiu in the CAF Champions League. After coming off the bench and scoring the fourth goal of the match, the 26-year-old suffered a muscle injury that forced him to leave the pitch. Since all substitutions had been utilized, his team finished the game with ten players. This incident adds to a series of physical issues Benbouali has faced since his summer transfer, which previously kept him out of league and cup matches and led to his exclusion from the Algerian national team's September and October camps. Despite these setbacks, the forward has managed to score three goals for his current club across all competitions this season.
