Stockholm hosts conference on the struggles of Sahrawi women

A Sahrawi women's delegation visiting Stockholm held a conference titled 'The Reality of Sahrawi Women in Western Sahara', in the presence of Swedish civil society representatives. Eswailma Beyrouk, Minister of Social Affairs and Women's Promotion, highlighted the central role of Sahrawi women in building state institutions and managing refugee camps since the start of the conflict, emphasizing their continued fight for independence. Meanwhile, Mina Abaali, a member of the Sahrawi body against the Moroccan occupation, exposed the human rights abuses occurring in occupied territories, detailing accounts of torture, arbitrary arrests, and violence against women. The initiative aims to inform the Swedish public about the current status of the Sahrawi cause and the ongoing efforts toward self-determination.
