The Ministry of Public Works and Basic Infrastructure has issued a clarification regarding the financing of the railway line connecting Laghouat to Tamanrasset. The project consists of two sections: the first, covering 495 km between Laghouat and El Meniaa, is funded by the African Development Bank and the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank. The second section, spanning 1,080 km from El Meniaa to In Salah and Tamanrasset, is fully financed by the state budget. The Ministry also confirmed that consultations are ongoing with the Islamic Development Bank for other priority railway projects, urging media outlets to rely exclusively on official data.
