Guelma Forest Fires: Accused reveals plot orchestrated by Amir DZ

Abderraouf Omrani, a suspect in the Guelma forest fires case, has disclosed details regarding his communications with the terrorist Amir Boukhors, known as 'Amir DZ,' alongside figures like Zitout and Hichem Aboud, using various messaging platforms. Omrani stated that he began working with Amir DZ in February 2025, receiving instructions to set fire to the Bouchagouf region. According to his testimony, these acts were committed in exchange for promises of a visa and assistance in securing a 'white marriage' in France. Omrani admitted to purchasing five liters of gasoline and igniting the fire at 3:00 PM. Furthermore, the accused alleged that he received offers from a French Interior Ministry official, including a luxury car and housing, to establish a communist party in Algeria, a contact he claimed was facilitated by Amir DZ. He added that, following the fire, Amir DZ expressed frustration that the incident did not garner the expected level of attention.
