On Thursday, October 15, the prosecution at the economic and financial penal pole of Sidi M'hamed requested 10-year prison terms for three former presidents of the Algerian Football Federation (FAF): Kheireddine Zetchi, Djahid Zefizef, and Charaf-Eddine Amara. This legal action is part of a broader corruption case involving 19 defendants connected to the federation. The 10-year sentence was also requested for two former secretaries-general and a former administrative director of the FAF. For other defendants, including members of the executive committee and the former national team manager, the prosecution sought sentences ranging from 5 to 7 years in prison. Meanwhile, the Treasury's judicial agent has demanded 90 billion centimes in compensation for the damages incurred.
