Foreign Minister Ahmed Attaf and his South African counterpart, Ronald Lamola, co-chaired a ministerial meeting on Thursday, October 15, to track the implementation of the outcomes from the 7th session of the Joint High Commission held in December 2024. The discussions aimed at advancing the strategic partnership through tangible projects in energy, mining, and manufacturing. Both sides reviewed regional and international cooperation within the UN and African Union, while preparing for the 8th session in Pretoria. The session concluded with the signing of an agreement to establish a ministerial monitoring mechanism and the adoption of a joint statement outlining future bilateral cooperation priorities.
