Winners announced at the 8th edition of the Assia Djebar Literary Prize

The 8th edition of the Grand Assia Djebar Literary Prize ceremony took place at the International Conference Center in Algiers, held under the high patronage of the President of the Republic. Three novelists were honored: Sarah Mohamed Maariche for her work "El Rafras" in Arabic, Farida Sahoui for "AGGUS" in Tamazight, and Hocine Kettani for "ce que la mort m’a pris de toi" in French. The selection process involved nine shortlisted works, with three entries for each language. Minister of Communication Mohamed Bouslimani attended the event alongside political and literary figures, praising the patriotic legacy of the late Assia Djebar. Established in 2015, the prize recognizes excellence in literature across Algeria's three languages.
