The wilaya of Tizi-Ouzou will hold a ceremony this Thursday at the Mouloud Mammeri House of Culture to announce the winners of the 13th edition of the 'Rabah Aïssat' Cleanest Village competition. Out of 35 participating villages, 11 will be honored. Hachemi Radjef, head of the APW’s health and environment commission, confirmed that the total prize money will be distributed among the winners to help maintain local environmental efforts. No 'super-contest' will be held this year, unlike in previous editions. Launched in 2006, this annual environmental initiative aims to improve and protect the living conditions within the villages of the wilaya.
