The Research and Intervention Brigade of the Bordj Bou Arreridj police has dismantled a criminal gang consisting of four individuals involved in drug trafficking. The operation led to the seizure of 26,850 capsules of foreign-made pregabalin, alongside two vehicles utilized for transportation. Authorities initiated the investigation following reports of a large shipment of psychotropic substances entering the province. After a successful security operation, the suspects were apprehended and brought before the public prosecutor at the Mansoura court. Charges include illegal importation, possession, transport, and trafficking of drugs within an organized criminal group, as well as smuggling. The police department continues to encourage residents to report suspicious activities through official emergency channels.
