The SOKON Algérie industrial complex in Batna is gearing up for its initial production phase scheduled for January 2027. With an investment of 9.8 billion dinars, the plant targets an annual output of 60,000 buses and trucks. Situated on a 13.6-hectare site in the Zana El Beida industrial zone, the facility includes specialized units for welding, painting, and assembly, alongside a partnership with Chinese entities to develop the local “HANOU” brand. With the first production line 95% complete, the project is set to generate 450 direct jobs initially, scaling up to 1,350 positions later. The initiative is expected to strengthen the national mechanical industry and enhance local supply chain integration.
