Train services between Algeria and Tunisia have officially resumed after a 20-day suspension caused by maintenance work on the track between Aïn Sennour and Souk Ahras. Overseen by ANESRIF, the project has now been completed, allowing the National Rail Transport Company to restore full service on the Annaba-Tunis line. Trains from Algiers to Tunis are scheduled for Sunday, Tuesday, and Thursday, while return trips operate on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Ticket prices are set at 1,900 DZD for first class and 1,640 DZD for second class. Children under four travel for free, and those aged between four and twelve benefit from a 50% discount. The resumption of this cross-border route occurs alongside ongoing efforts to boost cooperation and development in the border regions between the two nations.
