Netflix secures broadcast rights for 2030 World Cup in Spain

Netflix has won the broadcast rights to air all 2030 World Cup football matches for audiences in Spain and Andorra, the company announced on Tuesday. The platform confirmed that it will stream all 104 matches of the tournament live. As part of the agreement, one match per round will be available to watch for free in Spain, and a national terrestrial channel will broadcast all of Spain's matches as well as the final. This deal represents a significant shift in sports broadcasting, marking the first time the subscription platform will stream the men’s World Cup, building on its existing rights for the 2027 and 2031 women’s tournaments. The 2030 event will be co-hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with additional commemorative matches scheduled in Argentina, Uruguay, and Paraguay to mark the competition's centenary.
