The Mouloudia secured their spot in this round after eliminating the Nigerien club Nigelec, whereas the Nigerian team advanced following a penalty shootout victory over Benin's Sobemap. The team aims to secure a positive result away from home before hosting the return leg next week at Ali Ammar Stadium in Douéra.
