Oran becomes a pilot site for tele-health services in Algeria

Mahoub Messaoudi, Director General of Digitization at the Ministry of Health, has unveiled the launch of a tele-medicine pilot project in Oran, starting this Thursday. The province will serve as a model for integrating health institutions through a digital network, including connections with southern regions to facilitate remote consultations and professional exchanges. This initiative, linked to the electronic medical record system, aims to provide patients with specialized care without the need for travel. The system utilizes artificial intelligence to assist doctors in analyzing medical data efficiently. Through dedicated digital platforms, patients will eventually be able to book video or phone consultations with specialists.
