The Algerian women's national football team has successfully qualified for the third round of the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic qualifiers. The team secured their spot following a dominant performance in the second leg, building on their previous 8-0 victory at the 5 July Stadium. The latest goals were scored by Bendriss, Bethi, Dafor, Bekhadid, and Semaali. Coach Farid Benstiti selected a squad of 26 players for these fixtures, featuring new additions Sarah Kassi and Nesrine Bahlouli. The squad enters this phase with high morale following their historic qualification for the 2027 Women's World Cup in Brazil. A total of 35 African nations are competing in this qualification campaign, which runs until December 2027, with only two spots available for the final Olympic tournament.
