Alberto Núñez Feijóo, leader of the Popular Party, has publicly condemned the current Spanish government for its weak approach toward Morocco. Speaking from Toledo, Feijóo argued that Rabat's continuous challenges to Spanish sovereignty have reached an unacceptable level, necessitating a resolute and calm response from Madrid. He specifically pointed to maritime incursions near Ceuta and disputes regarding the repatriation of unaccompanied minors as evidence of a policy of pressure exerted by the Moroccan state. The opposition leader emphasized that the status of Spanish territories like Ceuta and Melilla is non-negotiable and urged the government to abandon its perceived submissiveness to ensure national respect on the international stage.
