The National Institute for Educational Research board has officially approved the establishment of two specialized research units. During an extraordinary meeting led by Boualem Ben Laouer, members voted unanimously to launch a unit dedicated to AI applications in education and another focused on integrated studies in inclusive special education. These initiatives are designed to advance specialized academic research and align with modern educational shifts. Additionally, the board sanctioned an adjustment to the financial appropriations for social services scheduled for 2026.
