Air Algérie has added a sixth Airbus A330neo to its fleet, officially named "Ras El Afia" after the famous lighthouse in the Jijel province. The name was selected to honor national memory and the resilience of the region's people. The aircraft is designed for long-haul flights with a capacity of over 300 passengers, offering 25% better fuel efficiency and reduced CO2 emissions compared to older models, along with modern amenities like in-flight Wi-Fi. This delivery is part of a major fleet modernization program initiated in 2023, which includes the acquisition of 36 new aircraft to support the company's long-term expansion strategy up to 2035 and meet growing travel demand.
