In his correspondence, the President expressed his solidarity and best wishes for a successful operation and a swift recovery. Mr. Tebboune further commended the Pope's dedication to promoting peace and tolerance across the globe, expressing hope for his return to duties regarding inter-peoples dialogue. The 71-year-old Pope was admitted to Rome's Gemelli hospital to undergo surgery for the removal of a lung nodule, following a lung cancer diagnosis.
