Security concerns are rising over an AI-powered application called 'Raven', which can determine a person's exact location from a single photograph. By cross-referencing interior room designs or exterior angles with vast databases of real estate and hotel imagery, the app identifies locations with a 90% success rate. CEO Daniel Heinemann states the tool is intended to assist law enforcement in tracking kidnapping and human trafficking victims. It is currently being used by agencies such as the Los Angeles Police Department and the Miami Sheriff's Office. Since January 2025, access has been limited to government agencies and corporate clients. Beyond analyzing photos, the software can also identify vehicles and gather intelligence using only an email address or phone number, sparking significant debates regarding personal privacy.
