Minister of Industry, Ferhat Kortel, has outlined the roadmap for 2027, aiming to increase the industrial sector's contribution to the GDP to 13%. The plan prioritizes finalizing ongoing industrial projects, enhancing local integration, and optimizing industrial land availability, with 738 hectares targeted for development. To boost competitiveness, the government is introducing tax and customs exemptions for subcontractors in the mechanical, electronic, and electrical fields. The strategy also includes digitizing procedures, providing support to 200 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and strengthening quality compliance bodies to facilitate exports, particularly toward African markets.
