Zouhir Moussaoui, a central director at the Ministry of Trade and Export Promotion, stated that non-hydrocarbon exports have reached nearly $4 billion during the first eight months of the year. This figure represents a 10% increase compared to the same period in 2025, with expectations to hit $5 billion by the end of 2026. The official emphasized that the priority is maintaining long-term export momentum to help offset the trade deficit. Additionally, agri-food exports grew by 15%, reaching $213 million. Speaking at the "Made in Algeria" exhibition in Blida, Moussaoui highlighted the role of such events in boosting economic sovereignty, showcasing the quality of local products, and creating new partnership opportunities for Algerian businesses in foreign markets.
