The wilaya of Tipaza has announced a temporary closure of the highway connecting Tipaza to Algiers on Wednesday, October 14, 2026. This interruption is due to ongoing road surface improvement works using bituminous concrete between the Bou-Ismail underpass and the Algiers border. Traffic will be suspended in the direction of Bou-Ismail towards Algiers from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. To manage the flow, three alternative routes have been established, utilizing secondary roads and the Colonel Abbas interchange. Travel in the opposite direction towards Tipaza remains unaffected and open to users. Authorities urge motorists to reduce their speed and strictly follow traffic signs to ensure safety during the construction period.
