Brahim Merad warns of foreign-led plots to destabilize Algeria
During a visit to El Tarf province, Interior Minister Brahim Merad denounced coordinated efforts to undermine Algeria's security, specifically pointing to the criminal forest fires that occurred in late August. Citing information provided by the Ministry of National Defence, the minister confirmed that these criminal acts were instigated by individuals abroad, including the notorious cybercriminal Amir Boukhors, who enjoys protection from hostile factions in France. Merad emphasized the need for national unity and increased vigilance, claiming that these external forces are attempting to export France's internal crises into Algeria. According to the minister, these destabilization attempts are intended to disrupt the positive development trajectory of the country.
