Algerian National Team: Scouting missions and plans to strengthen the coaching staff

The Algerian national team's coaching staff is preparing for a series of scouting missions to evaluate players abroad and in the local league, ahead of the November AFCON qualifiers against Togo. Brahim Hemdani and Antar Yahia are set to visit players in Europe before returning to Algeria on October 21 to monitor local talent, including clubs participating in African competitions like MC Alger, USM Alger, and CR Belouizdad. The staff aims to reinforce the goalkeeper, center-back, and striker positions. Additionally, discussions are underway to add a primary assistant and a video analyst to the technical team. Karim Matmour is currently the leading candidate for the assistant role, a move supported by Antar Yahia, pending final approval from the president of the Algerian Football Federation.
