President Donald Trump has stated he does not believe China and Russia are assisting Iran, arguing that both nations have too much at stake to engage in such actions. Writing on Truth Social, Trump dismissed rumors of foreign aid to Tehran, noting that the U.S. would detect any such involvement immediately. He cited prior assurances from leaders Xi Jinping and Vladimir Putin that they would not provide arms to Iran. While Beijing denies any military cooperation, the Trump administration previously sanctioned Chinese companies in May for allegedly supporting Iranian military networks. Tensions remain high since the conflict involving the U.S., Israel, and Iran began on February 28, characterized by missile strikes, drone attacks, and the closure of the Strait of Hormuz. Efforts to implement a June agreement mediated by Qatar and Pakistan currently remain at a standstill.
