UK announces defensive air missions over Saudi Arabia

On Tuesday, the British Ministry of Defence revealed its intention to conduct defensive operations within Saudi airspace following a ballistic missile attack attempted by the Houthis against Riyadh. The UK plans to deploy Royal Air Force Typhoon fighter jets to safeguard civilians and essential national infrastructure. The ministry emphasized that these aircraft will not engage in any offensive strikes against the Houthis. Furthermore, the United Kingdom will provide an A400M strategic transport aircraft to assist in moving defensive equipment, alongside the deployment of military advisors to support Saudi officers.
