Khenchela: Criminal gang arrested for horse theft ring
Police officers in the Bouhmama district of Khenchela province have dismantled a criminal gang consisting of four men involved in stealing horses from the Beni Melloul forest. The suspects, aged between 30 and 39 and hailing from the municipalities of Metoussa and Lemssara, were caught red-handed while loading stolen animals onto trucks for transport to distant provinces for sale. The operation was launched following formal complaints from owners regarding the disappearance of their livestock. The suspects are currently under investigation, and the victims will be summoned to provide testimony before the case is referred to the judiciary.
