The 11th edition of the "El-Hachemi-Guerouabi" Grand Prix concluded at the Moufdi-Zakaria Palace of Culture, crowning Algiers native Mohamed Yanis Tazir as the winner. This prestigious competition, aimed at sustaining the Chaâbi musical tradition, also awarded second place to Réda Guennif and third place to Insaf Abdelbaki. The event featured tribute performances by icons such as Abdelkader Chaou and Hassiba Abderraouf, honoring the legacy of El-Hachemi Guerouabi twenty years after his passing. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Arts and the Wilaya of Algiers, the annual contest serves as a vital platform for discovering and nurturing young Algerian vocal talents.
