The 2027 Finance Bill, approved by the Council of Ministers on October 4, introduces a ten-year tax incentive scheme for venture capital firms and investment companies, starting January 1, 2027. During a presentation to the National People's Assembly's Finance Committee, Treasury Director General Hadj Mohamed Sebaa detailed plans to grant exemptions on corporate income tax and registration fees for subscription and restructuring operations. These measures are designed to mobilize capital for productive projects, support startups and SMEs, and drive economic diversification. By creating an attractive fiscal climate, the government aims to facilitate the entry of international investment funds and foster the development of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem. In line with these efforts, the new 'University Fund for Innovation and Start-ups,' with initial assets exceeding 280 million DA, was recently approved by the COSOB to invest in high-tech and innovative sectors such as AI, biotechnology, and renewable energy.
