The Algiers Exhibition Palace is set to host the 29th edition of the International Book Fair (SILA) from October 28 to November 7, 2026. Bringing together 1,567 publishers from 51 countries, the event features Saudi Arabia as the guest of honor under the slogan "Tomorrow between the pages of a book." A highlight of this year's edition is the "Gourara" pavilion, which utilizes 3D projection technology to offer an immersive journey through Algerian history. With nearly 1,000 cultural activities, the fair will feature renowned authors and intellectuals. Youth engagement is prioritized through the "My First Book" award and a new prize for translation. The event also maintains a strong commitment to global causes, including those of Palestine and Western Sahara.
