The discussions centered on the long-term development of their joint operations, particularly within the Berkine basin. Key topics included Oxy’s experience in unconventional resources, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques, and the implementation of non-metallic pipeline materials. This high-level dialogue reaffirms the long-standing collaboration between the two companies, which has been marked by significant agreements in recent years, including the 2022 contracts for blocks 404 and 208, the 2024 exploration memorandum for Berkine-Centre, and technical cooperation pacts signed in 2025 regarding complex carbonate reservoirs.
