Algeria becomes the first global operator of air ambulance configured SkyCourier aircraft

Tassili Travail Aérien, a subsidiary of the Sonatrach group, has completed the technical inspection of two new Cessna SkyCourier aircraft produced by the US manufacturer Textron Aviation. The planes are scheduled to arrive in Algiers by the end of October. This acquisition represents a global milestone, as Algeria is the first country in the world to purchase this specific aircraft model equipped for air ambulance duties, and the first in Africa to utilize the SkyCourier. The aircraft will be deployed in Algiers and Hassi Messaoud to support medical evacuation, passenger transport, and operations for the energy sector. The U.S. Embassy in Algeria congratulated the teams involved, highlighting this milestone as a reflection of the robust commercial and technological partnership between the United States and Algeria.
