International Airlines Halt Flights to Riyadh Amid Security Concerns

Following a Houthi attack that caused casualties and property damage, Saudi authorities have extended the suspension of operations at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh indefinitely. Consequently, numerous international carriers have adjusted their schedules. Gulf Air has cancelled flights until October 17, and Qatar Airways has temporarily halted service to Riyadh and Dammam. German group Lufthansa has suspended operations until October 16, while Air France-KLM has extended its flight suspension through the end of the month. Furthermore, the American airline Delta has postponed its flights from Atlanta to Riyadh until March 2027.
