Criminal network involved in vehicle theft dismantled in Bouira
The judicial police in the wilaya of Bouira have successfully dismantled an organized criminal ring involving five individuals, including two women, who were operating in the central region of the country. The investigation began following reports of vehicle thefts and attempted thefts in Lakhdaria and Kadiria. Following an extension of jurisdiction, authorities tracked down and arrested the suspects in a coastal wilaya. The operation led to the recovery of two vehicles, one of which had been reported stolen, along with criminal equipment such as license plates, duplicate keys, and engine control units. Three additional vehicles were seized as part of an investigation into money laundering and the concealment of criminal proceeds. The suspects have been presented before the public prosecutor at the Lakhdaria court.
