Travel agency owners arrested for defrauding 64 Hajj and Umrah pilgrims in Algiers

Algiers security forces have arrested two individuals operating a travel agency for defrauding 64 citizens of over 11.3 billion centimes. The suspects falsely promised their victims courtesy visas for the Hajj and Umrah pilgrimages to secure significant sums of money. Following complaints filed with the major crimes unit in El-Biar, investigations led to the identification and arrest of both suspects. They have since been presented before the public prosecutor at the Bir Mourad Raïs court to face legal proceedings for their actions.
