Batna provincial authorities have reported significant progress in the development and paving of roads within the new industrial activities zone in Timgad. The project, which received a budget of 27 billion centimes, has picked up pace following initial delays that led to the termination of a construction contract. This development is part of a wider strategy to improve the investment climate across 12 industrial zones in the province, focusing on sectors like ceramics and food processing. Concurrently, the provincial committee for industrial land reclamation has been active since 2022, recovering dozens of unused plots through legal and administrative procedures. Additionally, Sonelgaz is supporting these efforts by connecting several activity zones, including El Madher and Germat, to electricity and gas grids to ensure readiness for new investors.
