National Gendarmerie units in Constantine have seized 106 tires of the local brand 'Iris' and arrested 6 individuals involved in illicit speculation. The operation, executed by the Research and Investigation section alongside the road safety squad, targeted traders who were hoarding tires to sell them at double the government-capped prices. During the search of several warehouses, the goods were found hidden, and a small truck used for transportation was also confiscated. The suspects are set to appear before the competent judicial authorities following the completion of legal procedures, as part of ongoing efforts to protect the purchasing power of citizens.
