The provincial delegation of the Independent Election Authority in Oum El Bouaghi has received 101 electoral lists ahead of the local elections scheduled for November 28. Provincial coordinator Ghasmi Cherif stated that the filed applications include 94 lists for Municipal People's Assemblies across 29 municipalities and 7 lists for the Provincial People's Assembly. A total of 240 nomination files were withdrawn by political parties, independent lists, and coalitions. Furthermore, the electoral body grew following a special review in September, reaching 430,332 registered voters, an increase of 3,884 from the previous count. The provincial official encouraged youth to participate strongly in the polling, emphasizing that the authority is committed to safeguarding voters' ballots.
