From October 12 to 19, Algeria dispatched a delegation of experts from the energy sector, including representatives from Sonatrach and the hydrocarbon regulatory authority, to Niger. The mission followed an incident at the 'Gomery W-8' oil well in the Agadem region. The Algerian team worked with Nigerien officials to determine urgent measures to contain the leak and mitigate environmental damage. At the end of the visit, the President of Niger, General Abdourahamane Tiani, met with the experts and expressed his appreciation to President Abdelmadjid Tebboune for the swift response and technical support provided.
