Mostaganem Port reorganizes operations to prioritize public sector and implement AI logistics

The Mostaganem Port Authority has announced a shift in its operations, dedicating its services exclusively to imports for public companies in line with national directives. A deadline of December 31, 2026, has been established to relocate private sector activities, including utility vehicle imports, to other national ports, with a gradual transition beginning within 15 days. Port management emphasized a flexible approach to maintain supply chain efficiency. Additionally, the port is advancing its digital modernization through the "PORTEYE" project. In partnership with the Port Community System (APCS), this initiative employs artificial intelligence and high-definition cameras to automate truck traffic management, aiming to reduce wait times and improve overall operational security and performance.
